How to use the system:
Accessing the system
- To access the system go to http://shl.lancasterbaptist.org
- Login using the same username and password you use to access your computer, email, service report, etc.
- You can access the system from any internet capable computer, iPhone, cell phone, etc.
How to view your list
- Click the “Home” button in the upper left to see your active prospects sorted by last name
- Visits assigned by the Soulwinning secretary are automatically added to your list and indicated by the word ‘Assigned’.
- You are alerted if you have not made contact with a prospect in over a week. (See Recording visits, notes, calls, etc. below)
- The icon on the right will indicate what the next step is for that prospect. (salvation, baptism, attendance, SS class enrolment, membership)
- Click on a name on your list to view the details of that prospect.
- Prospects are organized into five different lists (view by clicking the tabs above the list):
- Active: prospects you are visiting or calling every week
- Joined: former prospects that have been saved, baptized, and are now members of the church
- Inactive (under Other): prospects that have lost interest, but you may try to visit them again for a big day
- Dead End (under Other): prospects that have moved away or have asked you not to come back
- All (under Other): all prospects regardless of status, sorted by last name
Adding a new prospect
- Click the Add button in the upper right to add your own prospects.
- Fill out whatever information you have on the prospect.
- There are separate fields for the first names of married couples.
- If the prospect is single, use only appropriate first name field and leave the other blank.
- Be sure to record the Point of Contact and the Date of first contact.
- Click the Save button to add the prospect to the list.
Editing Prospects
- On the Home page, click on the name of a prospect.
- Click the Edit button to update information on a prospect.
- Change the prospect’s status to inactive if they are no longer showing interest.
- Change the status to dead end if they move away or ask you not to visit. (Give the reason why in the comments field.)
- After making necessary changes, click “Save”.
Recording visits, notes, calls, etc.
- When you make contact, click one of the six “Record contact” buttons to log your visit, call, etc.
- A log is kept on the bottom of the page of every contact made with the prospect.
- If they get saved, baptized, visit church, etc., click the “Decision” button to record that decision.
Managing a team
- Team leaders will have a link that allows them to see the members of their team.
